Capacitor in which the Motor Capacitor is in the cuircuit only during the starting period, the capacitor and its auxillary winding are disconnected automatic by a centrifugal switch or other device when the motor reaches a predetermined speed. also known as motor start capacitor.

Newcap capacitors i.e. AC motor start capacitors are manufactured by using etched and formed superior purity aluminum foils, separating anode and cathode by tissue paper to hold enough electrolyte and absorbent. The capacitor element is sealed into an aluminum can to prevent it from atmospheric moisture and dust.
These capacitors are fully insulated by PVC shrinkable sleeves and again sealed in outer tubular aluminum can for added safety. The flexible termination of suitable length is taken out as per requirements.
